Soiloss: A Program to Assist in the
Selection of Management Practices to Reduce Erosion,
by Colin J
Rosewell. 2nd ed. Soil Conservation Service of NSW, Sydney, 2005. |
| Description |
The computer program Soiloss is a DOS application that enables the prediction of soil erosion by rainfall in New South Wales, Australia. It is designed to make the use of the Universal Soil Loss Equation (USLE) easier for the everyday user and to facilitate 'what if?' comparisons of erosion control options.
This new version (5.3) was written in 2005 by Colin J Rosewell and was commissioned by the Namoi Catchment Management Authority. Modifications have been made to the K Factor, L Factor and report printing procedures. Reports can be directed to LPT1, LPT2 or to Text Files. Instructions are provided for printing to Network or USB printers under Windows XP.
